Swimming Australia has announced its list of the nation's best young up-and-coming swimmers and we are proud to say that nine F-Teamers have been included in the squad. Congratulations to Matilda Smith and Max Giuliani from Tasmania, Sophie Caldwell, Layla Day, Olivia Lefoe and Gabi Peiniger from Victoria and Tiana Kritzinger, Lulu Macleod and Georgia Powell from Queensland.

As part of the MLC National Flippers Squad these swimmers will have access to Swimming Australia's high-performance staff and will be able to further develop their swimming careers through access to technical, psychological and wellbeing skills. They will all come together for a training camp on the sunny Gold Coast in early January.

Swimming Australia's aim is to "have these athletes transition to a senior Dolphins team in the years to come and have selected a talented group of young swimmers who we believe have what it takes to succeed, towards Paris and beyond."

Tiana is thrilled with the good news having just set a new Queensland state record in the 15 year old 800m Freestyle with a time of 8:21.00, a record that was standing for 10 years. "I definitely think my Funkita's has helped me get back into training and racing!"

Congratulations F-Teamers!
