Never in Olympic history has a synchronised swimming team consisting only of swans, or any avian creature for that matter, been crowned Olympic champions. That is set to change in several years when a bevy of beautiful swans received approval from the Olympic committee to take to the waters in LA and perform to what we can only assume will be Swan Lake. The legal battle being waged by the sharks, swordfish and marlins to earn their right to compete in the open water swimming is likely to receive approval, giving Mother Nature a real chance of cleaning up the medals.
